Make sure to use the right cleaning products and follow the steps for exterior or interior concrete floors. This will help you clean and maintain stained concrete floors. We have a guide for you on how to clean stained concrete floors.

Interior Concrete Floors:

Use water to clean. As needed, use mild detergent. Dove and Ivory dish soap are good options. Use Dawn, Simple Green and Ammonia, as these will damage the wax and strip it. The wax should last several months, if not, you can clean it and dry it. After drying, apply a new coat of wax to the area and let it dry.

Exterior Concrete Floors:

Use water to clean. As needed, use mild detergent. A water hose and power washer can be used. Follow the instructions for Interior if it has been waxed. It doesn’t need to be waxed. The outdoor concrete sealant will eventually wear out and require reapplication. The amount of traffic, weather conditions, and sun exposure will all affect the time required to reapply sealer. Concrete is like a sponge and soaks in the initial application. This means that the first application usually lasts the longest. It should last longer after that. There have been reports that sealers need to be reapplied every five years, if not annually. If you do not want to seal the surface, just clean it as described above.
